The sample window on the left displays a tree with all the program songs and samples. Click on a sample header to reveal the underlying sample files. If you hold the left mouse button down on the sample it will be played. A sample is made up of digitised sound. If a sample is dragged to the grid it can then be played by pressing the play button on the Command Panel.

Did you have the feeling that the sample was longer when you listened to it in the sample window?

Just stretch the sample in the grid. If the sample is now repeated several times (you can see this on the sample as vertical lines are drawn on the sample), this means that you stretched it too much and the sample is now looped.

It is not necessary to put many samples one after the other in the grid in order to produce a repeated fragment. Just put one and stretch it out (loop mode).

A song cannot be created with just one sample, so multiple tracks are provided in the program. A track is represented on the grid as a horizontal row of blocks with two buttons in front of it. The faster your PC is the more tracks you can use. Make sure all the samples you combine have the same tempo and pitch to keep the songs sounding good.

To use the "Loop" and "Zoom" buttons to the left of the tracks you must left-click with the mouse for normal adjustments and right-click with the mouse for more precise adjustments.
