Primary Sound Driver

Allows you to select which sound driver the program will use. Normally the Primary Sound Driver is sufficient. If you do not hear anything and "-none-" is displayed then select the most appropriate sound driver.

Buffer Length/Ahead Duration

The smaller the buffer is the faster your system will respond when playing a sample. The default buffer length is about 100 ms. Enlarge the buffer if the system falters or produces blank sections during playback. Both buffers should be the same size. The "underruns" value gives you an idea of how your system is responding to the current settings. The higher the underrun value the poorer the performance of the system is.

Surround

Check this box to get a surround effect.

Force MONO samples

Check this box to save memory. This function only affects the display not the output.

Click marked MP3 detection

Checks for clickmarks in MP3 files. If found, these clickmarks will be used to set looping point.
